What Ellipsis Capital LLC is, how it gets paid, and what every number on this site does and does not mean.

1. We are a broker, not a lender

Business Loans for America is operated by Ellipsis Capital LLC, a financing marketplace and brokerage. We are not a lender, bank or credit union. We do not make loans, we do not make credit decisions, we do not set rates or terms, and we do not fund transactions. All financing is originated by third-party lenders who underwrite independently and issue their own agreements.

2. How we are compensated

Ellipsis Capital LLC is typically paid a commission by the lender when a transaction funds. We charge applicants no fee — not to apply, not to receive offers, not to decline them.

Commission rates may differ between lenders, which creates a potential conflict of interest. We state this plainly because you should weigh it. Compare any offer on its own terms — the total dollar cost, the payment schedule and the term — rather than on our recommendation alone.

3. No guarantee of approval, terms or funding

Submitting an application does not guarantee an offer, particular terms, or funding. Approval and pricing are decided by lenders based on your business’s revenue, deposit history, time in business, industry and other factors.

4. What the figures on this site mean

Amounts, timeframes and approval windows shown on Business Loans for America describe typical or illustrative outcomes. They are not offers of credit and not guarantees. Phrases such as “in as little as” describe the fastest outcomes we have seen, not the outcome you should expect.

The payment calculator performs arithmetic on an illustrative factor rate you select. It does not price your business, it does not reflect any lender’s decision, and it is not an offer.

5. Not financial, legal or tax advice

Everything published on this site is general information. It is not financial, legal, accounting or tax advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances. Consult a qualified professional before entering into any financing agreement.

6. Advance-fee warning

Ellipsis Capital LLC will never ask you to pay a fee in advance to secure funding. Any party demanding an upfront payment to release or guarantee business financing should be treated as fraudulent. You can report suspected fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
