What is the fastest business funding in 2026, and what really arrives in 24 to 72 hours?
By Alex Makowski Published
Money you are already approved for is fastest: a draw on an open line of credit lands the same or next business day. Of new funding, merchant cash advances and working capital loans are fastest, with decisions in hours and money in one to three business days. Equipment financing takes two to five days, and most bank and SBA loans take weeks.

Who made this list, and how it is ordered
Business Loans for America wrote this list. It is a broker paid by the funders in its network when a business it placed is funded, and it places most of the fast new options below: merchant cash advances, working capital loans, lines of credit and equipment financing.
The options are ordered by how soon money usually lands in a business account, fastest first. Cost is in its own column, because the fastest money is the most expensive and speed should not be bought blind. Timings are for a complete file, and the lender, not this site, decides and funds. Checked October 15, 2026.

Nine options, by how fast the money lands
The fastest money is money someone has already approved. Of new funding, the products underwritten on bank statements are fastest, because the statements are the whole file.
| Option | Do we place it? | Money usually lands | What has to be true already | What it costs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A draw on a line of credit you already have | No; it is your existing line | The same or next business day | The line is open and has room | Interest on the draw for the days it is out |
| A business credit card you already have | No; it is your existing card | At once, for bills the card can pay | The card is open with room; most payroll and rent cannot go on a card | The purchase rate; a cash advance on a card adds a fee and a higher rate |
| Broker quick pay or invoice factoring | No | A day or two per invoice | Customers that are businesses; for factoring, an account opened in advance | 1 to 5 percent of each invoice |
| An offer from your card processor or POS platform | No | Usually within a few business days of accepting | Card sales through that platform; the offer is already in your dashboard | A fixed fee repaid from card sales; priced like an advance |
| Merchant cash advance | Yes | One to three business days; a decision in hours | Three to six months of business bank statements, ready as PDFs | A factor of 1.1 to 1.5 |
| Working capital loan | Yes | One to three business days; a decision in hours | The same statements, and six months in business | Interest commonly in the twenties to fifties a year, or a fixed factor |
| A new line of credit | Yes | One to three days to open; draws the same or next day after | A score around 600 and a year or two of clean statements | Interest on what you draw |
| Equipment financing | Yes | Two to five business days from a signed quote | A seller's quote for a specific asset | High single digits to twenties a year, depending on the file |
| A bank or SBA loan | No | Days for a small, simple loan at some banks; weeks for most, and for SBA | Collateral, tax returns and a manual review | The lowest on this list |
03
When a bank can be fast too
Banks are not always slow. In the FDIC's 2024 survey of about 1,300 banks, three in ten said they can approve a small, simple loan within one business day, including more than half of large banks, and three in four within five business days. A very large or complex loan can take four to six weeks.
So if you already bank with one and the need is small and simple, ask your own bank the same morning you apply elsewhere. The weeks-long figure is for new borrowers, larger loans and SBA lending, where the guarantee adds its own steps.
04
What "same-day funding" usually means
Approval and money are two different events. A decision can come back within hours; the money then travels by ACH or wire, and it is yours when your bank posts it. Same-day money does happen, on smaller amounts, with clean statements and a contract signed early in the day. Treat it as the best case, not the plan.
Ask anyone promising same-day two questions: is that the decision or the deposit, and by what time must the contract be signed for money to go out today. A clear answer to both is a good sign. A vague one usually means the promise was about the decision.
05
Days money will not move for the rest of 2026
ACH payments and wires settle only on business days. Weekends do not count, and neither do Federal Reserve holidays. Three are left in 2026, and New Year's Day 2027 falls on a Friday, so two of the four join a weekend.
| Holiday | Date | What it means for a deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Veterans Day | Wednesday, November 11, 2026 | Nothing settles that Wednesday; money not sent by Tuesday lands Thursday at the earliest |
| Thanksgiving Day | Thursday, November 26, 2026 | Nothing settles that Thursday; money not sent by Wednesday lands Friday at the earliest |
| Christmas Day | Friday, December 25, 2026 | Money not sent by Thursday, December 24 lands Monday, December 28 at the earliest |
| New Year's Day | Friday, January 1, 2027 | Money not sent by Thursday, December 31 lands Monday, January 4 at the earliest |

What speed costs
The fastest new money is the most expensive. $30,000 on an advance at a 1.3 factor costs $9,000 over about six months. The same $30,000 drawn on a line of credit for six weeks at a mid-teens rate costs about $500 in interest. A line has to be open before the emergency, which is the case for setting one up while the business does not need it.
When there is a day to spare, a second offer is worth it. On $30,000, the gap between a 1.2 and a 1.4 factor is $6,000. And the fastest file is a complete one: six months of statements as PDFs, your real average deposits, and every existing advance disclosed up front. Our guide to the fastest way to get working capital takes each step in turn.

FAQ
Related questions.
- Can I get business funding on a weekend?
- You can apply, and sometimes get a decision, but money moves only on business days. A contract signed on Friday afternoon usually funds on Monday or Tuesday.
- Why did my funding take longer than 72 hours?
- Usually a document: statements missing a month, a business name that does not match, or an existing advance that was not mentioned. After that, your bank's posting time and holidays.
- Is a cash advance always the fastest option?
- No. If you already have a line of credit or a business card with room on it, a draw or a card payment is faster and cheaper than any new funding.
